Well I've been a bit busy as of late, finishing off one of my Master modules on education and preparing my Yr. 11's for their art exams last week. Overall, I was very pleased with their outcomes. More to follow on that though in my next post. In this post I wanted to mention and hope to receive some feedback upon my latest art educational based teaching resource. Like my others it can be found at http://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Colour-Theory-Match-and-Sort-Game. How I propose to do this, to make it a bit sporty and offer this teaching resource free of charge to the first 10 people to leave their email in the comments on this blog. I will then email the product to you to be tested your your art classes. In return for the free resource I would like to get some feedback on this blog after it has been used in the classroom.   Ideally, I believe this product would best suit a grade/yr. 5 or 6 class if all of the flash cards are to be used. However, the basic set of colour mixing flash cards would suit younger grades and the more complex sorting cards would be better for the older students.

Here is the description of the product:
      This product is designed to be a tool for teaching students Colour Theory that tend to learn better through kinaesthetic learning. It also acts as a good memory jogging tool (starter) before students begin painting or colour mixing in lessons.
The flash cards are designed to make students more familiar with colour blending, which colours mixed together make what colours, and colour theory with the labelling of primary, secondary, opposite, analogous, tinted and shaded colours.
This pack includes 15 printable flash cards, an answer key for teachers and a suggested uses page.
